Haunchwood U10's Girls Launch Player Development Programme

ree

Our u10s Hearts are proud to announce a brand new player development programme that will run over the next two seasons thanks to the amazing sponsorship of Sortimo UK Ltd.

Life skills education contributes to basic education, gender equality, democracy, good citizenship, child care and protection, quality and efficiency of the education system, the promotion of lifelong learning and quality of life.

Developing Life Skills early on in life makes children ready for the future, and instills leadership qualities, and they help children be more adaptable, confident, and empathetic.

Haunchwood Hearts strives to not only give the girls in the team a brilliant footballing experience but also help to shape them into strong and confident young women, ready to take on the world as they grow up.

Over the next two seasons the team are embarking on an ambitious programme to bring the ten wider life skills identified by the World Health Organisation into the experiences and activities that the girls are exposed to in training sessions, match days and events outside of football. As the girls head into secondary school in 2027 the programme will provide opportunities for the girls to reflect and grow using football as a tool for broader development.

Rich Horton, Manager of the Hearts, said

"This is a great partnership with Sortimo and were all really excited to get started. It'll help the team to bring the girls more opportunities to reflect and develop both individually and as a team alongside their football".
