Haunchwood grow relations with Adders
Haunchwood continued to show our work with Atherstone Town Community Football Club by providing the mascots for the Adders game against Leicester Nirvana on Saturday 7th March. A mix of Haunchwood Diamonds, Units and Hammers walked out at the Snake Pit with the Adders as the home side ran out 6-0 winners. The game was sponsored by two Haunchwood team sponsors too in James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies as main match sponsors and NJB Associates as matchball sponsor.

Hearts Continue Sortimo Personal Development Programme
More bad weather meant another quiet month of training and matches for our U10's Hearts. Just two opportunities for our team to progress with the Sortimo sponsored life skills development programme... 21/02/26 saw a depleted squad of 6 travel to an away for a 7 a side match. The girls had to step up with a new way of approaching the game which they did amazingly each one of them playing their part on the squad. Unlucky not to win with two chances saved on the line by the opp

Pitch update from Haunchwood Chairperson
I wanted to provide an update on the pitches at Ansley and the current situation. As you are aware, we've experienced almost daily rain this year, leading to a high-water table and very wet grounds that are unable to absorb any more water. The weather has truly been unprecedented. This has club invested in a sand spreader to help firm up the soft areas. I have personally been out out twice this week including today (Sunday) spreading sand and spiking the bad areas. I'm dedica

United win 11 goal thriller against Ravens
Great to be back for only our second game in 120 days There was a bit of rustiness as was expected and United just couldn’t get control of the game, every time we pushed forward, Coalville hit us on the counter attack and we soon found ourselves 2-0 down. Despite the deficit, our boys kept raising their game and we started seeing glimpses of the United were used to seeing. A lovely through ball from Miles allowed Jenson to use his pace to break through their defence to slot h

Friendly Fire from Haunchwood Dragons!
📢 Coaches Match Report Friendly Game v Kenilworth U12 Titans What a performance today! Really buzzing and couldn’t be happier. Awesome display, passing was top notch from goalkeeper all the way to attack. The team took on board what Coaches have said and I would say it was WOW! All we need to do is put the oppsition players under a little bit of pressure in the game, but that can worked on in training. The first goal from little Ed. All through out the game, on the wing, cau

Tornados blowing in the right direction
Haunchwood Tornados v Stratford Town Colts We welcomed Stratford Town Colts on a beautiful sunny morning where we were fortunate enough to get the game on and the boys were in a vibrant mood. Tornados were really competitive in the first half against a really strong and capable team, with us hitting the post twice and testing their keeper with a couple of opportunities, unfortunately, we found ourselves behind at the break but still had lots to play for. Tornados came back af

Sortimo support Hearts with Life Skills Developments
With the weather starting to turn at the back end of last year matches were scarce but this didn't stop the Hearts on their life skills development programme. With the girls starting to get more and more engaged each week there was a mixed bag of events to draw out some great examples to help the girls appreciate their part in their team and learn about more than football in their journey through life. Huge thanks to Sortimo for their sponsorship making this a reality for the

Haunchwood Derby as Hammers face Dynamo
Top of the table Haunchwood Dynamo took on Haunchwood Hammers in a pre-Christmas cracker at Ansley on Saturday morning. A brilliant morning of football from start to finish and a real showcase of what Haunchwood sports is all about. Two top teams giving it a real go and showing great commitment and enthusiasm throughout a fantastic game. With Dynamo top of the league and flying high not many would have saw the result; a 5-1 win for the Hammers. Hammers coach Dave Parkes stat

Dragons battle on in wet conditions
Managers Post Match Review: Although the Haunchwood Dragons played a team 3 tiers above us the final score didn’t reflect the effort the Dragons gave! What a 1st half! We defended as a unit and frustrated the opposition which was really impressive. Both Craig & I said that we keep on improving which made us both proud. We just need to do a little more passing and running off the ball. The opposition manager said ‘ your lads showed great resilience and never gave up ’ Well don

Hearts continue development programme
Another month of our U10s Haunchwood Hearts development programme and some really great examples of your girls learning some key life skills through the involvement with their team: 11/10/25 - Decision Making Faced with an academy opposition Tilly quickly found herself covering more ground down the wing and more quickly than normal. Running out of energy she made a great decision to take a breather in defence before pushing on. 18/10/25 - Interpersonal Relationship Skills

Haunchwood Remembers
Across the weekend the teams across the Haunchwood club paid tribute to our fallen servicemen. All games at Ansley on Rememberance Sunday held a minutes silence to pay respect to hero's and thanks to Poppies4kits we were able to show our support to our service men and women past and present. With the setting of the sun, we will remember them.....
