Parents MoTM: Owen

Brought some much needed aggression to the game when he came on which fired his team mates up, made important strong tackles and held his players off really well

Well done Owen!

MoTM: Jake

Came on at right back and made an instant impact, making solid challenges and distributed the ball well!

Moved to right wing and continued to make great runs, he made himself an option and looked calm on the ball!

The boys all arrived on good spirits as always and we heard a few say they were well up for it so we knew as always that the boys would go out and give their best

We all knew it was going to be a tough task but a couple of early goals in quick succession left the boys a little shell shocked.

As the first half went on the boys picked themselves up and really gave CTK a tough game, matching their urgency and creating opportunities but still the difference in level was obvious.

The boys all spoke words of encouragement to each other at halftime and second half continued with the momentum they had gained in the first half, one thing we loved to see was the boys never drifted too far away from our style of play. Jayden looked to play out from the back and they all created their triangles all over the pitch to give each other options.

Surprisingly CTK seemed to get frustrated towards the end, giving away a few free kicks, one of which was beautifully placed into the box by Mitchell for Miles to pounce on to give us at least a consolation goal.

Moments later Miles and Mitchell linked up again, a through ball from Mitchell allowed Miles to dribble into the box, his footwork confused the defender who brought him down to give us a penalty that Miles converted well

A good team performance but CTK showed their quality at times, I’m pretty certain that will be the hardest game we’ll play this season but the boys didn’t crumble and held their own for a lot of the game.
