With an amazing donation from Wickes Nuneaton of paint, painting equipment, topsoil and landscaping tools the team at Haunchwood Sports Junior FC (HSJFC) has transformed their new ground at Ansley just in time to welcome in the new footballing season.
HSJFC are a local grassroots club offering football to both boys and girls in the area across 19 teams starting at u7s and going all the way up to u18s. The club’s teams play in leagues from across the Midlands and has a footfall over over 400 people every weekend.
The new site gives all children in the club and those visiting access to appropriate toilet and changing facilities as well as a community room to meet up in after games.
The donation from Wickes was vital to help spruce up clubhouse and give it some much needed TLC as well as help improve the pitches by enabling repairs to holes and divots that could cause injury to players. In addition the equipment was helpful in supporting the separate car park renovation project in allowing for minor tidying up works around the edges and leveling out as required.
Everyone involved at HSJFC is immensely grateful to the support given by Wickes Nuneaton to support this local community event.
